He Tong: My first week in CJC

It is my first week in CJC. I saw my buddy on last Friday afternoon. His name is Mun Wai Hoong. He is an outgoing person. When we met, he introduced the school to me and brought me to may place, such as canteen, playground and so on. He is one of the interact club of CJC, he also is the leader of the buddies. So he is good at communicating, we have been friends since the first meeting.

On the Monday, every student and scholars had a rite at square just like we have in China. The only difference between the rite in Singapore and China is that there is the oath, the rite in CJC had an oath about the Singapore. I think it is good to the establishment of the patriotism. My buddy and I went to the lecture and tutorial. We had the math and economics lecture in the morning, and had physics and math tutorial in the afternoon. We also had PE in the morning. It is different between the lesson in China and Singapore. In China, we only have the class which just likes the tutorial in Singapore, but there are more than 60 students in one class. Most of CJC teacher are very good, they can guide students study the knowledge themselves.

From Monday to Friday, we had the lecture and tutorial in the school except the cross country race. All the students and scholars had the cross country race on Wednesday afternoon. We went to a lake and ran along the bank of the lake. I also took part in it. I cannot run follow my buddy,   because of the lack of exercise. I should do more exercise after the JXP program.

On the Friday evening, I went to my buddy’s family. There are four people in his family, his parents, his brother and he. I met his parents, they both are very good people. We chatted about many things, and I had the dinner in his family. What a nice day!

Funny week in CJC. Tao Tianchu.

    Nice school, interesting class, and active students. After spending a week on visiting the whole CJC and studying as well playing in my buddy's class, 2T29,  I have got such a deep impression. So many funny things happened that I expected to meet my buddy, Matthew, and his classmates soon everyday.

    Embarrassedly, I fell asleep at 13:30 untill 14:30, a one-hour break. It is because I used to sleep after having lunch so I couldn't hold on anymore...= =#  When I woke up, a piece of paper with colorful words was in front of me. After reading it, I started to laugh ^O^. Imediately, I've known several vivid girls, Michelle, Cui Ling and a Korean girl called Shu Lin. BTW, my English name is Troy in 2T29(They all asked me where is Gabriella - -! )

    Every day, Matthew, Shareef, Wei Heng, Mingkit, Rigardo, and Aji always stayed together to have lunch, and I joined the circle. We're all the fans of Man Utd., except Aji, a loyal Liverpool fan...It seems that the table we were sitting is exclusively used by 2T29...On Wednesday they even invited me to have lunch outside. Where? To my surprised, KFC... We took a bus and passed three stops and walked  nearly 500m just for KFC...= = 

    Wednesday afternoon, I attended the X-country 4.2km...There are so many cjc students gathered beside the lake and it was very  spectacular. To their surprise, I spent only about 20min finishing the long-distance race. When Mingkit arrived, I asked him where Wei Heng was. And after hearing his reply, 'he's still walking', we began to laugh.

'Just go straight.' I said...

    Because Matthew was a helper of CCA on Friday afternoon, I was asked to join those JC1 students and play with them...And I started to suffer from series of crazy games...At the end of CCA, they invited me to take a photo with 

whole JC1 students, but Matthew pulled me out and said, 'you aren't JC1. Don't monkey.' But he was scolded soon. 'It doesn't matter!  Why are you so rigid?' The leader said...Maybe I can find myself in the photo on some gallery 

after several years...Although I'm not JC1...

  

    There are also many interesting things such as doing an experiment calld 'silver mirror' at chemistry tutorial, solving a question on the blackboard dazzledly after awaking by the maths teacher and so on.
The environment of CJC is quite beautiful; The books of CJC library are very nice; The students of CJC are particularly active; The life in CJC is absolutely colorful!

    

Wang Zirui: the first week in CJC

CJC is a not very big but  very beautiful school in which I have studied and played with my Buddy and other local students happily.I really enjoy the life here and there are a few things I found different from which in China.

I was shocked when I look through the curriculum schedule here which is far more simple than what I had imagined.Their couses ,which  involved one of my favorite subject—economics ,were arranged  small but comprehensive.

What impress me most is the sports level in the school . At the beginning, I always wondered that why students here have such goods statures and soon I found the answer as soon as I learned they often run for more than 4.2km.

My Buddy is a excellent and beatiful girl and always help me a lot tin expressing in English and adjusting to the classes here.We have became good friends during this short but happy week.Besides,I also meet many other friendly local students and had a good time together.Here some of photos which recorded parts of my life in CJC

It's indeed a pity that our Buddy cannot company with us due to thier exams next week.    Anyway, I really have good time during this week with new friends and appreciate happiness the experience brought me.


       

Lu Yifeng: First week in CJC

I'm very happy to cjc and meet my buddy, Jessie Tang Yun Jie. I’m very happy to finish the first week. I’m very lucky to meet my buddy before JXP. On the first day to cjc, I joined the assembly with Jessie. After that I went to J4-04 Classroom 10, and I make some friends who are Jessie’s classmates. At the first day I attended Math lecture, General paper, Math tutorial and biology tutorial and PE. At PE class we ran 12 rounds around the field, about 4km, actually I never ran so long. I’m very happy I finished 12 rounds, although I walked some rounds. After PE class I feel very tired. However, everything goes well in the first day.

Jessie attended Nanyang research program. So we didn’t attend cross county. I think I’m a lucky guy that I don’t attend the cross county to run 4.2 km, and it’s so hard for me to finished it. But on the other way, I think I missed a pageant, what a pity! Jessie and I went to NTU on Wednesday, Jessie and her partner, who comes from Meridian Junior College, did a research that called “Dynamic online e-learning system”. They did a presentation to professors in the morning and then some other secondary school students and JC1 students to attend this show after 3 pm. During the show I was very happy to make a lot of friends from other class from cjc.

Time flies so fast; one week experience to cjc is gone. Next week Jessie will attend common test, so she can’t stay with me. What a pity. However this week I study a lot from cjc. And I feel happy and full. I hope I will get a good experience next week. And I also hope Jessie and her classmates could do well in their common test.

Gan Wei:Happiness in CJC

I have been a lucky dog since I came to 2T21.My buddy,classmates and teachers in the class are so nice and welcome us so much.I really had so much  fun this week around them.

 My buddy,Joan Tan,is the vice monitress and the vice president of Interact Club.Joan does anything carefully and clearly. She is a christian and a caring friend.I feel honoured to become her friend.

 Joan's classmates are very lovely.They own different personality but share one thing in common--treat us so nicely.Even if they are having the big test next week,they still spared time having class dinner with us,which warmed us so much.

Joan said, our class is always good at sports.Other class will feel very nervours if they are going to compete with us.Because there are many leaders of different sport clubs in our class.We got first prize in X-country and I feel proud too.
I enjoyed playing pingpong with them after class.Guys in class love pingpong as much as me and have fun in it.They don't take difficult skills so that I can beat them easily,Haha~just a joke~~

On Friday,Jinyi and I hung out with our buddies.After lunch,we walked around in a bookstore in Bugis Junction.Then Jinyi went to her buddy's villa for homestay while I had a rich dinner in my buddy's house.Her cooked chicken curry,which is her specialty dish,and 麻婆豆腐 for me.When I left,she filled my bag with a lot of snacks.I was really grateful for their treatment.

Next week they will take common test and I cannot meet them until Friday.I should miss them.I had never imagined I would feel reluctant to leave this program before this week.Keep contact,hey guys!







Song Qiaozhi:A week in CJC

I complete the first week in CJC with happiness. I’m in 2T36 in which everyone is friendly. Apart from my buddy Rochelle, I also make friends with Melanie, Charlotte, Jacqueline and other students.

First I want to introduce my buddy. The girl on the left is Rochelle, the right one is the buddy of Zirei, her name is Si min. They are good friends so we four always stay together.



It’s very impressive that students in CJC all enjoy sports very much. This week they played softball in the PE class and I found it very interesting. We seldom play baseball or softball in China, so I was confused about the rule for a long time. Eventhough, I can felt their passion.

 

On Friday, Rochelle had the CCA of volleyball and we had dinner with the member in the team. We took the photo in Bishan. Thank all the friendly students! I’m very lucky to have friends in CJC!

First week

I am very happy to meet my buddy, Chi Hao, and his classmates. On Monday, we luckily had a PE lesson. Although the teacher did not allow me to attend their softball game against another class, I am glad to watch them playing. They did not do well at first, which led the score come to 1:6. I found the sports kind of difficult at that time. However, they won the game finally in the score of 10:9. Some of their hit even brought the team 3 or 4 score. After the softball game, we had a one-hour break. I spent about half an hour playing basketball with 6 classmates. Although it even made me be late for the next class, I felt happy. This PE lesson left a great impression on me, but also gave me a misconception which is our class is not hard at all about Singapore’s PE lesson. And when I know that we had a 4.2 kilometers run, I was a little giddy…… I started to consider what in the world can help us escape from the muscle ache days, and I finally got an answer, which is rain. From that on, I began to pray that we can have a rain at correct time on Wednesday…… At last, I failed. I finished the 4.2 km run with my buddy and felt happy again. I didn’t know the reason. I was so tired and my whole body experienced a period of painful time especially after the one-hour exercise on Thursday. Maybe I found it pleasant to have a difficult time with my friends. Who knows? That is not important, the important thing is that we were happy at that time.

All these good days made me a little bit grieved on Friday, because I wouldn’t see them until next Friday. They will have exams next week. I hope they can get good marks in both the current one and their A-level test. I hope to see them at university.
